At Rathgar Care Home in Northampton, our residents have access to a wide range of fun, stimulating and social activities for health and well-being. We've taken great care to ensure that our programme delivers something for everyone, caring for the body and mind through sociable and professionally-led sessions.
Promoting health and well-being
We have a dedicated Activities Coordinator who organises sessions 5 days a week, including therapeutic activities and entertainment provided by visiting professionals. Our person-focused activities are designed to enhance cognition, promote independence and accommodate a variety of needs. Currently, our activities programme includes:
- Frank and Jan, our musical entertainers that uplift our residents with their singing.
- A specially designed Tai-Chi routine (sitting or standing), from instructor Dominic.
- Our “Strictly Come Dancing” dancers, Gabriel and Martha who offer classes from Latin to Ballroom on a monthly basis.
- Our residents are also encouraged to pursue their own hobbies and interests, to ensure that Rathgar becomes home.
